Privacy policy

This policy explains what happens to data when you visit Travel Eagles (traveleagles.com). We keep it short and specific rather than long and vague.
What we collect directly
Almost nothing. We do not ask you to create an account, we do not run a newsletter sign-up that stores your details on our servers, and we do not sell data to anyone.
If you email us, we hold that email in order to reply to it. Nothing more.
Analytics
We use privacy-focused analytics to count page views and see which guides people read. This records aggregate information such as page URL, referring site, approximate country, browser and device type. It does not identify you personally and we do not attempt to.
Affiliate links and cookies
Many outbound links on this site are affiliate links. When you click one:
- You are redirected through a tracking service — usually Travelpayouts (
tp.media) — before landing on the merchant's site. - That service and the merchant may place a cookie in your browser recording that you arrived from us, so any resulting booking is credited to us.
- The cookie lifetime is set by the merchant, and varies enormously — Booking.com's lasts one browsing session, Discover Cars' lasts 365 days.
- We receive aggregate reporting on clicks and bookings. We do not receive your name, email, payment details or booking specifics.
Third-party services on this site
We run a script from Travelpayouts which powers some of the affiliate functionality on the site, including contextual product links and offer displays. This script is loaded from a third-party domain and may set its own cookies and collect usage data under its own privacy terms.
Merchant widgets we embed (for example tour listings) are loaded directly from the merchant's servers and are subject to their privacy policies, not ours.
We use Cloudflare for hosting and content delivery, which processes request data such as IP address for security and performance purposes.
Your choices
- You can block or clear cookies in your browser at any time. Affiliate links will still work; we simply will not be credited.
- Browser "do not track" and tracking-protection features will limit what the third-party scripts above can record.
- If you are in a jurisdiction with data-access or deletion rights — such as the UK, EU or California — you can contact us and we will act on it. In practice we hold very little that could identify you.
Children
This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top rather than quietly rewriting it.
